It has been almost three years since I last posted in this forum, but I am glad that you all like the videos! Making metrics videos every year might have become a tradition for Berkeley Econ Class of 2010.

The professor playing the bass is not Bob Anderson but Jim Powell, an econometrician in our department.

And yeah Berkeley is a great place to get your PhD in economics! Nice professors, nice students, nice weather and hilarious skit party--bet you have never seen Akerlof in pajamas.

I wonder if there is a correlation between years to finish and skit video participation...

Does it matter if there is a correlation?

If you are an outsider then you shouldn't need to worry about this but to simply enjoy the videos.

If you are in Berkeley rest assured that no one has ever been forced to participate in skit party.

If you participate willingly and are fully rational, it shouldn't matter if there is such a correlation.

If you suffer from misprediction or present-bias preferences the economics department have mechanisms in place to ensure that you won't drift too far away from your overall preferences.

You can probably guess what my research area is :P

I could have, but econ sounded more interesting and less geeky, and it still does.

But seriously, at this moment those who participated in the production of the videos are at least on schedule, if not ahead, of the remaining of the class.
