About any hope to go to LSE for Phd in Econ

For some personal reasons, I would love to do my phd in Econ at LSE.
However, without any funding, I can t survive there.
And I am not EU citizen.

I would like to ask if it is impossible for me to go there next year given my profile.
What could I do given my situation?

Here is my information:
Undergraduate: 3.77/4.0 ( Canadian University, in quebce hahaahah)

GRE: 800/310/3.0

Graduate: Going to do MA(doctoral Stream) in Econ at U of Toronto

Econ: Graduate Micro 1(A, B), Inter Micro(A-,B) , Inter Macro(A,B+), Inter Econometrics (A-, B+), Advanced Econ (A-,A-), Graduate Game Theroy( A,?), Money and Banking (A, B+), IO(B-,B) & Labour (B+,B)

Math: Cal 3(A,C+) Vector Cal(A,B) Graduate Stat 1(A, ?) ODE (A, A-) Probability (A,B+) Analysis 1(A-, C+) Abstract Algebra 1(B,C+) Matrix Algebra (A,B-) Nonlinear Dynamics and Chaos (A,A-), Linear Algebra (A, B)

The first letter is my grade while the latter one is the class average.

And I did a project research on Search Theory (A)

Currently, I m working as a Full time Research Assistant at City U of Hong Kong. ( from Feb to August )

Then I ll go to U of Toronto for my master in Econ.

With no doubt, I ll do the phd sequence in Micro 1 and 2.

What could I do given my situation?

Thank you very much for your input~

Hey econyun.. I made it to LSE MRes/PhD (4-year) with full tuition waiver and 14,000 per year (declined the offer). I'm also an international from south east Asia. I also did a B.A. and currently pursuing my M.A.

Overall your profile looks good. A few C's in the math courses could be a problem. My experience tells me even though at LSE GRE is not 'very imp.' a score of 310 in verbal coupled with a low AWA score could create problems. You can consider repeating it or else you MUST ace the Toefl exam.

The most important thing is goin to be your LORs. Note that LSE requires only two recommendations and you can't submit more (at least online). In my personalized email they told me they were basically impressed by what my recommenders said about me.

All the best and in these few months make sure you get terrific letters..

Thank you very much for your advice.

I did not get any C grade thus far.
The latter one is the class average.

Oops I'm so sorry about that. I should have read it more carefully.
Then you should not worry at all.. Just find out about the GRE thing by writing to a faculty. I had got in touch with some faculty from my country there before applying.

I think you have a pretty good shot too although I also think you should definitely check up about the V & AW on the GRE - my guess is that it's probably not an insurmountable problem as you'll have been in Canada for so long. Also if you're interests are Micro and you want to live in London UCL could also be a great fit for you.
