I know some offers already have been made but I havent recieved ANY messages(admission/rejection) from JHU.

According to this thread (http://www.urch.com/forums/phd-econo...s-hopkins.html (Johns Hopkins?)) Danny(insider) says that no more offers will be made.

However, some TMer says that he/she got emails from admission officer(econadmissions@jhu.edu) yesterday saying that committee is still working on the decision.

Which one is true? Is there anyone who can confirm this?

I think that schools are having more problems than usual this year trying to predict who will accept and who will go somewhere else... I know this is the case for undergraduate admissions...

...although, I'm thinking that if Hopkins is going to make more offers, I bet they won't make too many.

Anyone try to call them? I called them a couple a time, but no one pick up the phone. Danny, we need you. Please tell the grad secretary to send out rejection letters.

Why would someone fake a reject? I feel like those who haven't heard from Hopkins have already given up hope.

Hey guys,

I am still quite confident that if you have not received word yet, you will not be offered admission. Again, this year's crop of applicants was VERY strong, and the department is quite excited about the interest Hopkins garnered this year. Further, it is my (biased) impression that the visit day went well, and I already know of a number of people who have accepted Hopkin's offer. I would say right now it is EXTREMELY unlikely that anyone not yet offered admission will be admitted. Generally, Hopkins does not have a waitlist, and again a number of people have already accepted their offers, so even if there were a waitlist I do not think it would utilized this year. Sorry to be the deliverer of bad news, I will try to keep everyone posted if I hear otherwise.

Good luck to anyone waiting to get off of waitlists, and enjoy your summer!

Well, I am about to accept an offer from a different school and at this time JHU's response is for my own records
