How and Who should I ask about TA-ships?

I doubt I've got one in my offer. But I'm going to try asking anyway, since werther said this:

hey manho. i got the same email from Prof Yatchew too. I got in. He's giving me $10000 worth of TAship. It's confirmed. Sweet. Now, I'm thinking of accepting this offer. hmmm....congrats manho. Should it be Queen's or UofT?

It s way better than working in Tim Horton's.

It says 'decision made' made on the SGS website (since yesterday)...But no clue to what it is! So I guess my rejection letter is on its way

First round MFE went out 2nd week of March. You had 2 weeks to accept, and 4 weeks to make a downpayment. So I assume then that:

2nd round will be made in 4th week of march (for those who declined)

3rd round will be made in 2nd week of april (for all those accepting but not paying down-payment)

4th round admission made in 4th week of april (for all those accepted in round 2 that declined)



I assume the process continues until they either fill up all 25 spots or run out of acceptable candidates. And based on previous years, they usually run out of acceptable candidates before they fill up all 25 spots...

Queens usually offers the TA-ship as well, although its slightly less than Toronto. That said, Kingston rent is about half of what it is in Toronto...so adjusting for cost of living, Queens is probably a better offer if you get a TA-ship.

Also appparently the MA at queens is a better enviornment: all the students live near eachother, all students get an office, all the students get significant prof time, you get to write a MA essay, etc.

Unless you really dont want to live in Kingston, Id go with Queens...

I guess they updated the webpage. It used to say "Late April to May".

Given that a second round of offer was made last Sunday/Monday, and there's a 10 days window period to decide, I think it'll be another two weeks or so from now for the next round, after the 10 days expires on the second round offers.

This is my thought as well. I received my admittance to Toronto and had to have a decision April 15th. I emailed Queen's on the 7th but did not receive an email back about my status so I accepted at Toronto for fear that I have been rejected at Queen's. If I were accepted to Queen's later and with funding I may reconsider depending on the funding.
