Ox MPhil AD vs Stockholm Phd Offer vs Zurich RA

Though SU and ZU are good place to do research, now I prefer Ox a bit, because I want to get rigid Economics training and then start my academic life.

But somebody say that the ranking of Ox's Economics department is going down? Is that true? and Why?

1000000 thanks!

I hadn't heard that. I'd say that generally Oxford > Zurich/Stockholm although probably not in every area. Plus if for some reason you decide not to become an academic then the Oxford brand will be worth more most places.

What does the AD stand for? Have you already heard about funding? If so is it departmental or college based?

Thanks for your advice.

I haven't got any funding. And the funding I applied is "Oxford and CSC Fuding", which told me that they won't support MPhil students this year.
Is there any possibility that the department would give some funding even if I didn't apply for it?

When I e-mailed them to ask about it I got the impression they would - from what I gather we should hear by the end of next week (if you haven't heard by, say, next wednesday it might be worth e-mailing them). Also, the colleges have some funding that you can apply for directly, although if the college you're accepted to is anything like the one that accepted me most (not all) of the awards would be unlikely to cover all of the fees let alone living expenses.

Many thanks for your information.
I haven't know which college accept me, since the admission letter said that college had not been decided and if decided, another former letter will be sent to me.
It seems worth asking them about this.
