I have a friend who will be joining UCL in the fall. She is from Queen's.

Do you know how many people UCL admits into their MSc programme per year?

And what is the role of the GRE in the admission process ? I know it is not a requirement for the MSc programme but do you think that it is, nevertheless, considered as an important factor when making the decisions.

I was thinking of sending my scores automatically to UCL after I have taken the GRE but is it possibly an unnecessary risk to take? I mean that could I still be a competitive applicant if I don't send my scores at all (in case I fail miserably or something like that)?

Argh, I'm afraid that I have already decreased my chances of admission after sending my TOEFL scores automatically to UCL. I don't know my scores yet but I'm quite sure that I sucked at least in the speaking section.

A friend of mine have been accepted to the Msc program without even taking the GRE. So I suppose that it is not an important factor in the admission decision.

Regarding the number of admits I really do not have a clue, but the number of students is supposed to be between 50 and 70 each year.

Yeah I have received the offer letter, got it in March. Pretty excited about the course. Haven't heard anything about start dates but I presume from looking at the website that it would be on the 22nd of September this year - last year it was the 24th. Have you or anyone else received any correspondence from them?

Haven't received anything since my offer letter in may (for the PhD program).
