Ok,

I have been lurking for awhile and time to get out of the shadow and seek some serious advice.

Anyone yet to hear from CUNY Econ PhD and NYU Econ MA.

I emailed the programs, and no response.

Anyone else?????

i never heard back from CUNY last year. But i never called to ask about my status, so it might not mean anything..

That's bizarre. Partially because of course CUNY should have told you whether you were admitted. But also because I can't imagine being all right with not hearing from all of the schools I applied to. Even if I'd already gotten into my dream school, I'd still want to know if I got in anywhere else.

Plus CUNY has one of the most expensive application fees I've seen ($125.) The least you should get for your money is an email, even if it's a rejection.

I didnt care if i got into CUNY! I had already been accepted at UNM with full funding. I didn't need to stroke my ego!

plus i didnt actually pay (project 1000). I applied to CUNY because i didn't have to pay, but i really didn't want to move to NYC. I remember checking online and it said my app was being reviewed but i don't ever recall getting a letter or email stating their decision.

See, I'm all about stroking my ego whenever possible. But I realize that not everyone's like that.

But I still think CUNY should have sent you something, even if you didn't care. I mean, they had no way of knowing it didn't matter to you anymore.

This happened to me with Indiana. Never heard a thing from them, but I would still have preferred OSU anyway. It sure would have been nice to at least have known they looked at my application, though.
