AEA Summer Program - UC Santa Barbara (Anyone attending?)
I just wanted to see if anyone is planning on attending this summer? I will be in the advanced track. I think I read that GrandConjuration will be there...anyone else?

Yep, I'll be in the Foundations program this year. I wonder if we'll go to the Fed or CBO this year. I've heard that students in the Duke program went, but obviously Durham is closer to that area than Santa Barbara.
Btw, I'm from south Texas. Which part of Texas are you from txecon? |

Im from the Houston Area.
I really hope we will be able to visit the Fed. Im not sure if that was just a Duke thing or if the program always gets a chance to go. Im looking forward to spending the summer in California even though it may be intense. |

I wouldn't count on the Fed trip. It happened at Duke because it was relatively easy to make the trip in one big bus to DC. I remember last year this was discussed, and I think the options that came up were institutions in the Bay Area such as the SF Fed, UC Berkeley, Stanford and the Hoover Institution.
The program will be intense, but you'll have a lot of fun. |
