Isn't Minnesota one of the more math-heavy programs ? I am not sure where I read it but I think that their attrition rate is not above average.

asquare, you are probably right... i have also heard that MIT takes in certain students that Harvard or even Chicago doesnt.. so, i guess they are a little more liberal? and asianeconomist, it was news to me that minnesota is the most math-intensive program (i will definitely keep that in mind while applying)!
