We need quite a bit more information. What is your:

--Undergraduate/graduate institution ranking?
--GPA?
--Math/econ courses taken?
--Special achievements?

Generally, a BBA isn't great preparation for an econ PhD program. So what you've taken in your development program will be crucial.

jeeves0923 's dreams are becoming reality.
It seems to me like you are going to need more preparation in math. At least linear algebra and some sort of rigorous proof based class if you want to be competitive.

What range of schools are you shooting for?

As jeeves said at least taking a linear algebra course is a must for US schools.
I assume that you have already taken multivariable calculus. More math preparation could be important but is not a prerequisite for most schools.
What about your LOR's writers? What about your interests?
