Specfic Math courses for Econ

Hi, guys. I am a MA in Math student who is preparing for Econ/Finance PhD admissions. I have some math courses to choose for fall08. Since all Math professors are not on campus for this summer and some of them dont even use emails. Could you guys give me your opinion on which ones would help for getting Econ/Finance admissions which ones dont help at all. Thank you in advance.

1. Number Systems
Axiomatic development of the integers, rational numbers, real numbers, and complex numbers.

2.
Mathematics and Logic
Propositional calculus, quantification theory, recursive functions, Godel's incompleteness theorem.

3.
Differential Geometry
The theory of curves and surfaces and an introduction to Riemannian geometry.

4.
Theory of Graphs
An introduction to the theory of directed and undirected graphs. The Four-Color Theorem. Application to other fields.

And there is a dilemma I need to make a choice between
Stochastic Processes and Numerical Analysis I for fall, 08. I can't take both due to conflicts and I need this course to show on my transcripts by the December for ad com. Which one should I take for this semester?

Thank you in advance.

I'd say that none of the four courses listed above is really important. Stochastic processes is quite useful, and numerical analysis may be as well depending on what is covered.

jeeves0923 's dreams are becoming reality.
There are some interesting applications of graph theory to game theory. It isn't critical, however.

What are your research interests? Perhaps that could help in the decission of stochastic processes vs numerical analysis. I said both of these courses are useful in economics.

You can write off geometry and number systems. It can be nice to take stochastic processes though.

There is young theory (assistant) professor in the econ dept in my school who is interested in a math course in logic. He is doing general equilibrium.

somehow I have this impression that logic is for Computer Science.

Do you mean "only for computer science" or "also for computer science" ?

I will take both eventually.

The problem is that I can only show grade of one course on my transcript if I go for fall, 09 admission due to schedule conflicts. So my question is which ad com would weigh more.

Thx
