Queen's Professor receives Canada's highest honour

On July 02, 2008, it was announced by the Governor General of Canada that along with 74 other deserving Canadians, Dr. Robin Boadway of Queen's University would be appointed to the Order of Canada, the country's highest honour. An internationally renowned public economist, Boadway is currently the top publishing economist in Canada. He has also aided governments around the world in developing public policy. Dr. Boadway is known amongst his students as a fantastic teacher, supervisor and mentor.

Good on ya, Robin.

Cheers,

Canuck

Prof. Boadway is quite an amazing guy. It's wonderful to have approachable and personable professors. They really can make a difference to whether you thrive in a Ph.D or don't. There is nothing like seeing what you want to become to boost productivity (even more so than being a better professor than someone out of spite.)

If you ever get the pleasure of having a conversation with Dr. Alan Green, though, he is probably one of the most amazing men you'll ever meet (easily top 3 three for me). I say men specifically, because then you meet his wife, and you've met one of the most amazing women you'll ever meet. They are a truly dynamic duo.

Cheers,

Canuck.
