Current Students at U of Chicago and Northwestern?
How accessible would you say the faculty members are?
My advisor is an alumnus of Chicago, and he seemed to feel he got more attention as a grad student there than he did as an assistant professor at Harvard. Granted, this was a long time ago. I've heard mixed stories about NWU. Are any current students or profs who read this forum willing to comment? Do professors tend to have open doors? Easy to get along with? Thoughts? If you don't want to post publicly, a PM would be helpful. |

I can't answer your question, but I'd be interested in more than one moment of the distribution.
My life experience suggests to me that the between-group variance is smaller than the within-group variance in this variable, and that no one interacts within enough faculty across schools for a sufficiently low sampling error in estimating the difference in means, but maybe others would disagree. |
