What if you are an international student?I mean almost all books should be written in your national language probably by authors not known in the US(even though those books and authors are excellent).The syllabus will also be in your native language....what do you do in this case?NYU states that a name of course on the transcript doesn't really tell them too much;need to fill their math course list with lectures and books..same princilpe applied to the econ course........

Look through the faculty web pages, think about where you might want to live.
As to which range of schools to apply, I suggest you ask one of your professors. They tend to be able to give better information than this forum IMHO... |

Thanks! one professor told me I should mainly apply to top 20 schools. But I really don't think I am good enough. I checked the profiles on this forum and found many people much better than me and that have taken tons of more math classes even got rejected. I guess I will surely be rejected.
