Bayern is almost a TestMagic guru.
Question Schools with development concentration in IR?

I am very interested in International Development. Can anyone mention which are the top programs in International Relations/ Affairs/ Studies that have good development concentration?

Thanks

MPAID at Harvard KSG.

Fletcher at Tufts.

Perhaps Walsh at Georgetown.

Also SAIS at John's Hopkins.

These are all two year degrees.

Then Yale offers one year masters degree in International development economics.

Sorry if you're contemplating Phd rather than a terminal masters degree.

I had the masters degree in mind as usual.

The International Development Policy program at Duke is also a tenable option.

Schools differ in the sense that some concentrate on mid-career professionals (Duke) while others don't in principle (NYU, Denver and Yale IDE).

Still others prefer applicants with at least two years of work experience (MPAID at KSG) though they do make exceptions.

Do you consider staying in Europe? Then the IDS in Sussex (UK) could be a good place to study. It has been recommended to me from several academics who engage in development research either at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy or in some political science departments with focus on development. I was quite surprised that everyone mentioned Sussex immeadiately although I never heard of them before.

Kind regards

If you are looking at master's programs, the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton is another good option.
