I just guessed you were satisfied with your score because you said in your signature:'I survived the SAT!' ,which aroused a sense of extrication,so I believe you would not like to take the SAT again Happy you,all I wish now is barely a 600+ critical reading score. ![]()

![]() It seems that with your SAT score (2060, I believe) you should be fine for most of the colleges that you seem to be interested in (Colgate and Hamilton can be considered a reach for nearly everyone). Moongoddess, LACs especially, like to focus more on the person than on SAT/ACT scores, GPA, and other empirical type figures. They look more holistically at the person to see whether they would survive on campus - not only academically, but socially - I think going into your senior year you should create your list of EC's (and join a few more if need be!) and start a brainstorming ideas for your essay. If you are still worried about your SAT score, have you considered taking the ACT? A lot of people, including me, have fared better on that than on the SAT. At the present moment, you can still sign up for the October test and still avoid the late fee.

With the score you got, and being number 1, you shouldnt worry at all. Man I wouldnt. I got my second TPR test results. This time I got a 1750, and a 10 on the essay. So my whole thing was Math: 580 Reading: 530 Writing: 620 Grammar 63. I'm kinda happy with it although it is not my real score lol. I wish I woulda got this in june. we learned to plug in the answers this time, and more writing, and stuff like that. Also, they gave us a crapload of homework and I didnt even start it, because I have too much to do for school. My whole sechedule got messed up and I'm stuck in 3 Ap classes. Ap Physics, Ap euro history and ap english literature, or english 4. It really sucks, I havent been on the pc at all, I have to study all day just for physics, with no time for Calculus or other classes. Which is also taught AP style because they put us honors students with the AP ones, cuz there is only one teacher. And she yells alot, doesnt teach too much either. Just complains, saying you should know this and that from years before. Man my whole senior year will suck. We finished a whole chapter in a day since physics is a 2 hour period, and we have a 2 hour quiz tomorrow too. I just hope I dont fail or get any C's because it wont look good to colleges on my report card since I have been getting nothing but A's and like 2 B's all my four years in high school. I'm so stressed lol.

My SAT scores are as follows... Math 670 CR 700 WRT 690 I know that these scores are okay and my GPA is 4.25. My extracurricular activities include, community service, Latin dance, the piano, vocal performance and volleyball. I am retaking the SATs because I really need a scholarship. The thing is... CC only gives like 2 or 3 full international schols a year, and this year there were nearly 290 international applicants... Now you see my dilemma. Thanks again for all your help! |

Overall, you should have a good shot at all the colleges you are applying to. You have to remember that winning any form of scholarship is difficult these days - even winning one for $500-$1000 can be considered a great achievement - don't give up hope because of the few international scholarships Colorado College offers - there are other ways in which you can pay for college - don't get too hung up on the competition, focus on yourself.
![]() Remember, by looking at colleges in which your stats put you over the 75th percentile (in terms of SAT's, GPA, etc...) you have a shot of winning some sort of merit money, even if you are an international student. Good Luck, we all hope the best for you - don't forget to tell us how everything is progressing. ![]()

Start with a small scholarship ammount, then go for a bigger one. If you do not get the major one, then at least you can have the smaller one. I cant find many scholarships besides the essay ones. I never win those any way, no matter how good an essay I end up writing.
