SAT Essay Topics You Should Be Familiar With

The SAT essay topic that TestMagic students got in October was pretty much the same as one of the topics we covered in our classes. I thought it would be a good idea to share some of the other topics I think could show up in the future, and perhaps even discuss them.

Here are some:

• Success. What is it? Do people misinterpret it? Can it ever truly be achieved?
• Animals. Do people give too much or too little importance to animals?
• Nature vs. nurture. How much choice do we have over our personalities? Our successes? Our failures? Can we truly ever become who we think we are or who we hope to be?
• Selfishness. What are the pros and cons of human selfishness?

Those are a few of the important SAT essay themes that I'd recommend test takers be familiar with.

I of course have a lot of ideas about them, but I'd like to hear from you folks first.
