Plz help me with SAT preparation!

I'm a high school senior in US now. but i'm not a citizen in US. i just started my high school in usa like 1 year ago. i already applied for some colleges, but some of then asked for me toefl. i'm going to take it by the end of this month. i already took sat 1. i got 600 in maths and 330 in critical reading and 280 in writing. i'm going to take sat1 again in this month.

can anyone plz suggest me some ways to prepare for the sat to get higher score? if there is any book(name) that i can buy or any web site that i can practise?

thank you

Well I am seriously NOT a fan of TPR (The Princeton Review) or Kaplan, but that's because neither helped my score at all. However, I think they're pretty good at getting lower scores up. The best thing you can do for Critical Reading and Writing is practice, practice, practice. I would suggest finding a bunch of critical reading-like passages and trying to figure them out. I guess the best way to do that is a test prep book. My suggestion is the OFFICIAL book that ETS publishes, which is the only reliable book. ETS also put out their March 2005 SAT I test, and it's available for free download. I would suggest you take that, too. You have to remember that with TPR's books, and with Kaplan's, there are a lot of errors. Watch out for them, and best of luck to you.

Nope. The Princeton Review Book does not provided any tricks or tips that couldn't be found online for free. There are many noticeable errors that glare out in the book, this only adds to my hatred of test-prep companies' books.

Having trouble with the SAT? Try the ACT

Accepted: American U., Northeastern U., Boston U., RPI, McGill (going to attend), and Penn State - University Park

Seems to me that your critical reading and writing sections need to improve. This probably indicates you need to improve your vocabulary.

Suggest you read a few articles from the New York Times everyday (www.nytimes.com). Lookup any words you don't understand in a dictionary (www.dictionary.com is good).

If you need vocabulary lists do a quick google search for SAT Vocabulary or something similar there are plenty of free resources out there.

Then do some practice tests for the areas of the SAT you need to improve on:

Try this google search: http://www.google.com/search?q=sat+critical+reading

do the same for the writing section.

Some practice sat writing questions can be found at
http://www.majortests.com/sat/grammar.php

Finally, as shuttupjessmah says - The Official SAT Study guide from the collegeboard is probably the best resource and the first book you should buy.

not a fan of princeton review...it didn't really teach me anything after reading through the whole thing. I sugggest looking online...the two i used were www.smartdoodle.com and www.number2.com . Both helped, but number2 was a lot more basic while smartdoodle's explanations were more comprehensive.
