Hey!
Awwww, no need to say sorry! We're here to help, remember? Well, what do you know about the SAT? I'm scared to repeat info but if you want more in-depth info, let me know and i'll try my best! But basically the SAT consists of 3 parts: Criticial reading, Writing, and Math. Each section is worth 800 points so there's a total of 2400 for the entire test. The test is about 3.5 hours and most of the US universities require to take ithis exam and do FAIRLY well (depending on what school you're shooting for). For the critical reading section, you basically read multiple passages and you would be asked to critically analyze, compare, and contrast the different passages. Some may consist of general questions as what the theme of the passage or character's feeling towards another, etc. Or it could get more complex with which sentence you feel may be replaced with a better and which one, etc. For the writing section, you would have to write an essay within 25 minutes given a specific topic; you're expected to draw from your personal experience, literature you've read, science, technology, current events, etc. The graders of the essay are just looking something simple yet coherent (and straightforward thesis) that has an argument and style. There's also a bit of grammar and sentence editing, too. The math is mostly multiple choice and a small section on quantative comparison, etc. Generally, a student will aim for >2000 as the ultimate "good" score (unless you wanna go to Harvard...then i would suggest above 2200). It just depends.

Students usually take the test towards the end of junior year/beginning of senior year. You also gotta remember to leave some space to prepare for the SAT II subject test (but that's another story). SAT II subject tests.

I hope that was helpful! GOOD LUCK!
