sat critical reading

Can someone tell how to increase my sat critical reading scores? I got a 580, which is soooooo bad. But, I don't know how to raise it. Any suggestions?

I still have about one and a half years to study. But, I need to start now. I got a 2020 on my SAT. Is that good or bad for a freshman?

Thanks a lot.

It is a pretty good score, but to improve you need to do lot of reading, try to borrow books like college text books from the library, and start reading those. By borrowing older texts, it does cost anything and you can get more practice. Good Luck!

You have got a really excellent score!
Your critical reading is the same as mine!
I think if you want to improve, you can do nothing but do a lot of exercises!

2020 is pretty good for a freshman. I did not even take the test in my freshman year.
The best way to improve is to analyze your mistakes and learn from them. That's what helped me.
cheers.

Hi,
I am also having problems with SAT.
It would be great If someone knew a website where they describe step by step all the topics involve in SAT.
Thanks for the help,
Boris

Thats actually a good score. Though you can do a lot better. SAT like most admissions tests can be gamed. There is only one way: lots of practice. You should attempt as many SAT practice tests and questions as you can.

You should be reading a lot. It can anything, but preferably, newspapers and magazines (please no Sports Illustrated Bikini Edition).

By all means, you should study vocabulary AND reading comprehension separately and jointly. That is the key to success in critical reasoning.
