(present) ----may have---- She may have saved enough money.(past) ------might -------I might go to the play; I'm not sure. (present) ------might have----- The money might have been stolen. ( past) -----could----- Frank could be on his way. (present) ------could have -------They could have taken the wrong road. (past) I hope these sentences can help you. thank you,
i understand from your reply that can and could are used for ability in present time ,but in case could have will be in past. right? if so,does that means that I can use both in case of ability in present ? regarding, may and might for possibility in present time too, and the same thing in case of have. does that means that I can use both in case of possibility in present? |
