Agree that 3 is not good, but I think both 1 and 2 would be acceptable as they have slightly different meanings.

I feel 1, with "any other type of company", has more emphasis and expresses a stronger preference for a travel agency than 2 does.

Like michael said,this sentence lays strong emphasis on the travel agency option being more satisfying than owning any other type of company.

Okay i agree with you that 1 and 2 are both acceptable, BUT if this is a TOEFL drill which answer will you choose ? 1 or 2 ?
