Trick question
A reagent is any chemical that reacts in apredictable way ____ with other chemicals

A- When mixed
B- When is mixed.


SPOILER: A is correct
but I don't know why the other is not?

The completed sentence is:

A reagent is any chemical that reacts in apredictable way when it is mixed with other chemicals.

In general, S+be is omitted.
