suja 84 is correct except in the first one.
[Prehistoric] villagers [tended to] work harder, suffer [from] more diseases and eat [the] poorer diet than nomadic hunters diet. here, the first verb is tended to=did+tend to secon and third are present: suffer from, eat. so for them to be past too, the first verb's did should be general. i.e. [Prehistoric] villagers [did tend to] work harder, suffer [from] more diseases and eat [the] poorer diet than nomadic hunters diet. eat the poorer is wrong too and the end should be 'did' because the whole sentence is a comparison. see harder, more and poorer. i.e. [Prehistoric] villagers [did tend to] work harder, suffer [from] more diseases and eat poorer diet than nomadic hunters did. |

I think there is need for a degree of caution here.
My understanding of these questions is that there is only one of the options which needs correction. If that is the case then D is incorrect and should be the -> a. However the sentence does not make sense with diet as the last word. If we assume it is a typo and, as vjlenin has suggested, it should be did, then the sentence makes sentence with the one change in D. Michael
