if we use these words to ask a question what it will be, "an embaded" question?

for instance,
If we ask,

"I have no idea how long the intereview will take." ( this is an embedded question)

but if we ask,

"How long the interview will take?"

is it embedded question? if it is embedded question then should we use here "?".

and if it is not embedded question then why the verb place after the subject.
or it is subjcet question!

I think the question should be "How long will the interview take?" (ie "will" is placed between "how long" and the verb "take". In this case a question mark (?) is required.

For the first case "I have no idea how long the interview will take." as this is a question in reported speech so question marks are not required.
