Exclamation "for use" or "for using"

The following question is from Cambridge TOEFL kit:

The firing of bricks and tiles for use in the build industry requires large amounts of fuel.

I chose "build" for this question, because it must be "building",
but I don't understand why "for use" is choosen instead of "for using".

Denizcan,

Welcome to TM.

I think it's a question of common usage.

In UK the use of a verb (using) instead of a noun (use) would sound strange in this context, but would not be regarded as wrong, just untidy.

Actually it's an untidy sentence, I would probably say 'The firing of bricks and tiles tiles for building requires large amounts of fuel' (but that wasn't the quesion).
