I think the answer is (C).

In this case, I think you need a clause with a subject and a verb, and a word to join this clause with the other parts of the sentence. Choice (A) lacks a subject, right? Choice (C) is completely OK.

Is that true, Erin? Hope this answer will not be as stupid as my previous question .

Hey! What's that?! Have you seen one guy in this forum, which has a signature:
Who asks a questions is fool for 5 minutes, who doesn't ask is fool for the rest of his life.
Or something like that, but idea is the same.

P.S. I have no idea which answer is correct.

I'm not sure which silly <img src=icon_smile_clown.gif border=0 align=middle> question Cinderella is referring to, but is it the pho question?

Anyway, C is the best answer. "when to do sth" functions like a noun clause, and wouldn't fit here. An infinitive would also work: "to form fine, silk-like..."

HTH!!

Erin

I mean the "S/V agreement" question, the easiest one in the world! I don't know how "pho" is in the US (maybe a bit different), but it is my favorite food, especially for breakfast .

I know "pho" is a wellknown dish in VietNam. There is a Vietnamese restaurant called "PHO HOA" in Seoul. I have tried it once, it tastes quite good. I like it too.
