To translate roughly:
W: I really dislike people who think they know everything.
M: I quite agree, they make me mad too.
So 'can't stand', 'pet peeve', 'dislike a lot' all mean much the same thing.
'Tell me about it' normally means 'give me information about it', BUT here it it is used to mean 'you DON'T have to tell me about it - I know exactly what you mean.'
Another example:
"The trains were really crowded last night."
"Tell me about it - I had to stand all the way home."
