WM: Today's meeting has been rescheduled for the next week.
M: Great I 'll have time to run some errands. What does the man mean? A)Today's meeting was great B) He does not mind the change in the schedule C) He does not have time to think about the meeting D) Ge'll have time to run to the next meeting. -------- The answer is B: he does not mind the change in the schedule. This answer indeed confuses me. In my opinion, the man responds to the woman:"GREAT...." that means he is really happy with this news. Therefore it is not true to say that the man does not mind the change of the schedule. What do you guys think? Thanks |

He does not mind the change in the schedule= He is not against the change. He favors it. Indeed, he is happy about the change and says "Great!"
If you don't mind 'something', ýt means that you don't object it. -Do you mind if I smoke? -No, I don't. (You can smoke and I will not be disturbed) -Do you mind if I smoke? -Actually, I do. (I don't want you to smoke here. If you do, I will get disturbed.) |
