M: Well, I admit these expectations are a bit unrealistic for undergraduate students. Are you sure you want to be the one to bring up the issue with the Professor?
W: Someone's got to, and I don't see anyone else.
Q: What will the woman probably do?

(A) Fond someone to bring up the pub.
(B) Nothing, since she doesn't think she should.
(C) Tell the professor about the issue.
(D) Try to reason with him.

What confuses me is whether 'someone' indicates herself or another person?

"someone" doesn't refer to anyone in particular. There is an issue that must be introduced to the professor. Someone must do it. The woman thinks that she is the most probable person to do it.
