dentist86
Hi there. I think its best if you split the time for 10 and 10 minutes. This way, you can read 700 words / 10 minutes with a rate of a word and a tenth (approximately) per second. My strategy is to check the last question (usually more marks) and if feasible to answer, I do, if not, I turn to the first question and proceed in order. Anyways, my exam is 5th of August (in 2 weeks) and I'm still reading Barron's iBT. Is it the best there is or Kaplan's? I have both by the way, but alot of people denounce Kaplan's... Jesus!! you're in 2009?
Tino
Reading should take 5-7 minutes. You do not need to read the whole passage. You need to scan over it. There are some methods for doing that. You should answer the "low-time" questions first, and then proceed to the "high-time" questions. Most questions are worth 1 point. If you are short of time, why spend 3 minutes on a high-time question for 1 point, when you can answer 3 low-time questions in the same amount of time (or less)? Barron's is alright, though most people say it is easier than the actual TOEFL. Kaplan I cannot recommend. Tino
