Are these points out of the total 30 points of the section. Because if it is out of 30 then approx 8 points are dependent on only 3 questions. TOEFL Corey Posted October 22, 2010 Share Posted October 22, 2010 No, achilles, that's not how it works. The 30-point score is a SCALED score, as it is on all four parts of the TOEFL. There are usually about 45 raw points possible from the three passages and corresponding questions, and then your score is converted from a raw score to a scaled score. If you were given two summary charts (2 points each) and one category/schematic chart (3 or 4 points), then 7 or 8 points out of the 45 would come from this type of question (about 15% of your total).
