TOEFL Corey Posted April 7, 2011 Share Posted April 7, 2011 I believe you're talking about the Schematic (or Category) Chart. There will always be two or three categories and a total of either five or seven "slots" to fill. However, there will be either 7 or 9 answer choices given, so they are just pointing out that TWO of the answer choices will not belong to either category (or any of the categories if there are 3).
