Found Actual Reading Test much more difficult than practice

Hi,
A friend of mine is finding the actual reading test much more difficult than the practice tests she has worked on. Does anyone know if the reading tests have recently increased in difficulty ? If so where can we find practice tests similar in difficultly to the actual test. Clearly everyone needs to practice at a similar or higher level than the actual test.

Any assistance would be grately appreciated.
