I read in many discussions in this site the following fact which seems to become common knowledge that, and I quote: "Is that it is a human who score this, but that person has his or her bias, and it will depend on the mood of the "rater" ..."

This was my first attempt. I studied for 1 month using ETS Official Guide and Kaplan's Toefl Ibt. My scores are:

Reading - 28
Listening- 26
Speaking- 26
Writing - 27

I got fair, good, good in speaking. Good luck for your exam.

will you be kind enough to post your individual grades for each of the speaking questions? That was a very nioce job indeed!!!!

Also, when you took your TOEFL IBT, did you stutter or hesitated on your speaking part? Did you pause or had some lapses? I just want to see what my chances are.... (although I am almost sure that I have a very slim chance of getting 26)

Hi,

My score in the speaking section changed from 24 to 26 after applying for rescoring with ETS and by the way they refunded me the 60 $ too.

Did you stummer/stutter at all?

How did you feel after the speaking test?

Did you feel as if you aced it?

I spoke well in question no 1 including details and examples (satisfied) but in no. 2 I did not elaborate my example because I could not come up with good ideas.
In other independent tasks I spoke to fulfill the demand of questions. I did stutter at times but did not create lapses.
- I remember I wrote down things as much as I can from the conversations( paraphrased immediately)
-While giving answer I visualized the sentences. I know this is not easy task but I used to do so while practicing. I must admit that practice is the best key for the success. Good luck.

I got a good on the first two sections and a fair on the third section of the test. I did not do exceptionally well to get a 26. I guess it was a pure luck. I did not expect to get 26. By the way that was my fifth attempt. I got 27 in the fourth attempt but lost by one point in the listening section. I got 17 which is really ridiculous.

Did you ever stummer/stutter or had some errors in grammar for both of your speaking sections? Did you also have some lapses?

Hello rameses28,

I come from a background where in I studied english only as my medium of instruction. So you cannot expect me to speak as fluently as people of english speaking countries. Speaking is something which comes when you watch TV and interact more with people out there. I used to watch CNN regularly and it helped me a lot.
