At last I did it,

It turned out that they did lost my response.
I recieved my score for the toefl ibt exam on May 3 ,and they scored me at 12 in the writting task. Although I got the needed scores in the other 3 sections R 29
L 26
S 27
all this is becouse they gave me a score of ZERO in the integrated writting task, anyway I filled for a rescoring and 6 days after my request went into processing my score increased by 15 points.
My response was rescored at 27 in the writting task becouse I got a grade of good in the integrated writting instead of zero initially.

I am glad that this phase of my life is over.
Even if I don't complete the licensing procedures, I am happy that I can do something else in my life.

For all of you still in this dilemma: your goal is not impossible, it is achievable. Don't lose faith in your abilities.

I told you from the beginning, it didn't make any sense to get excellent scores in three sections and receive an incomparable score in just one section.

This proves one more time that ETS guys don't know what they are doing.... This is incompetence at its best.. How could educational institutions & respected professional credentialling bodies trust an organization that lacks consistency to this extent? When are they going to say NO to TOEFLiBT?

We should forward this story to NABP and any institutions who deal with ETS. There is no wonder why 57 more institutions in the USA, in the past three months, accepted IELTS as a rival to TOEFL iBT.

There are 3 other students I know faced the similar dilemmas:

1. First student, who came from Saudi Arabia, can speak 5 languages, received scores over 20 in other 3 sections in his first attempt; but received 8 on reading.
He went to talk to UW admission in the architecture program for his master and Ph.D., the admission adviser told him to forget the TOEFL score and told him to pay more attention to GRE. The adviser told him that his English is perfect, "We waived TOEFL score for you."

However, he has problem with Math part, he decided to take TOEFL again so that he can apply to other schools.

His second attempt, he received 29 in writing, 27 in speaking, 28 in listening but 5 in reading. Impossible again.

He did not prepare at all but he told me that he did great in the reading this time.

2. The second student, got 24 in writing, 20 in speaking, but 8 and 9 in reading and listening.

When she called ETS, they said she did not take the first 2 sections. She argued that she did. After 20 minutes of conversation, ETS insisted that he scores were correct. How come people who earned 24, and 20 in speaking and writing did not know how to read and listen?

She retook again, she got 22 in reading, listening 22, speaking 20, and writing 25. Don't tell me that her reading and listening improved dramatically in 3 months.

3. The third student, came from Saudi Arabia, his major is English literature.
He received in 29 in listening, 27 in speaking and > 25 in writing but received 8 in reading. Again, don't tell me that a student who is majoring in English literature don't know how to read English. He is ready to do anything with this dilemma. He taught English in his home country.

With my experience, I feel that people especially from Saudi Arabia have high competency in English language. All of those I know speak excellent English, like native speakers. Moreover, this student received very high score in verbal section of GRE.

I am glad that ETS admitted its mistake in your case, but however, many others are still suffering. I can go on and on about TOEFL iBT dilemmas.

I know that many of us feel angry about this dilemmas but a majority of us are willing to keep sending money to ETS and taking it with no complaints.

If you guys are taking the TOEFL to fulfill your language requirement so that you can study in America, you may need to learn to deal with these problems like an American.

When ETS graded SAT incorrectly a few years back, many parents and students filed lawsuits against it.

Or do you think that ETS is not messing up enough for you to take action. It is unethical and emotional torture.

Could you please let me know how long did they show your order of rescoring online after you faxed the request form? I have faxed my request form 6 days ago but still it doesn't show my order online. Could you please kindly let me know the time schedule of your rescoring case? Thanks a lot.
