June 21- Test Terminated.. Help

Hi everyone,

I took TOEFL-ibt on June 21st. Everything seemed to be going alright until I reached the last question in writing section. For some reason the test was terminated after 2-3 min. and it took me to the last screen for score reporting.

I dont know what the course of action is, the test center manager called the customer service. The person on the phone said that they will "consider" it. Although any detail was not given for the "consider" part.

It will be great if someone whose has (or has known of) similar experience, will share it here.

Hi Samar, sorry to hear your story. This is another case of computer glitch. I think when the customer service says that " they will CONSIDER it". It means that they would acknowledge the complain, which was a technical problem in your computer terminal, hence you will be rescheduled for the next toefl date exams (as you wish). Anyways, for the benefit of all other test takers, Would you please tell us what is the name of the test center, location?(what country/state). By giving some warning about this test center's technical problem like this, future test takers would look for another test center in the same state or country(as much as possible) to avoid this kind of problem or mishap. I know how you felt, especially if you have a deadline that is coming very soon. Well, everyone has different experiences taking this exam, and this is one of those.

Hi T-TOTO,

I took the test in Ohio, USA. Although, I must mention that the test center people seemed friendly and they were helpless, since it was a technical problem.

Please let us also know what others think about this.

Please send a written notice to ETS one more time. And then, send copies of your complaint to NABP (one for FPGEE, another for NABP - TOEFL iBT Task Force, Put Topic: TOEFL iBT complaint).

This way, NABP will be able to collect information about how terrible ETS and TOEFL iBT put pressure on foreign pharmacists and International student).

If nothing has been solved, send those copies to BBB and Attorney General.

Posting here is one way to accumulate information. This web site is found by google search and it will be recorded forever on the Internet. It is one way of, "publicity."

If you have any other problem, please post it here and CC your board or your school.

We need to put an end to this ordeal.
