Hi everybody!
Today the results for June 6th Toefl IBT was out. The score were as follows:
R=28
L=25
S=18

(My lowest score so far was 22)
W=25

My speaking part went well. But is there any possibility that they can miss scoring any of the speaking parts, like they gave me limited in task 3 & 4, which i don't think is right. I am planning to give for retotaling but as i need 26 it won't help me. I will give for retotaling and appraise about it to the NABP and KNOK. I think this test is not good. I heard that some of the board of pharmacy do conduct a live counselling, where the pharmacists has to counsel the inspector about the situation that has been presented to the candidate regarding medication, disease mananagement. I think this is better than speaking part of TOEFL IBT. I heard WV BOP do conduct extra practical examination beside NAPLEX and law, known as "Errors and Omissions Examination". This practical examination do have live counselling conducted by inspectors and i heard this session is for 5-10 minutes, where the candidate has to counsel the inspector(acting as a patient) about the drug, drug - drug interaction and drug - disease interaction, if any. Hope Knok you can think something about it.
We all need to stand up united and make our voice heard by the concerned authorities about it.

Its hard to question the validity of the test. Many institutions accept those scores so we can do nothing than to practicing and improving.

Since everyone thinks that we can do nothing, unfair treatment continues. Foreign students are in stress because of bad testing environments.

For CBT, students were put in the same testing rooms as GRE test takers but for iBT, ETS can't put students in the same rooms as other GRE or GMAT test takers. Why?

I believe that ETS will be sued by American test takers who take GRE or GMAT because testing environment is unacceptable.

ETS is sure that foreign test takers do nothing for poor testing conditions. This unacceptable administration, poor scoring process, and poor testing conditions, give ETS chances to make more money from test takers who repeat the tests. They deserve to pass on their first attempt.

Fail them. Then, we can make more money. So what?

We as pharmacists already did something. I am sure that our voices will be heard.

Pharmacists,

Please send a copy of your complaint which you sent to ETS or BBB, to NABP - TOEFL iBT - Task Force.

It is not only about your benefit but it is also about how people manage to do things in a developed country, a land of opportunity.

This is America, a country where freedom of speech and freedom of information are acts of law.

Do what you think it is appropriate. We are professionals. I believe that you can do it. Get rid of the monopoly.

IELTS was accepted by 57 American institutions in the past few months. Why? Those institions know about the problems. They are willing to change.

Change! It is time to change.

Thanks for the reply. I know you have done a lot for pharmacist and i guess you made the things reach to the NABP representatives. Hope some good news are waiting for all the foreign pharmacist. Best of luck and may god bless you all to fulfill your dreams. I am always with you guys.
