Any updates from NABP?????

Hey Guys,
Has anyone received updates from NABP regarding the meeting of NABP and ETS which was going to take place on Oct 28-29 regarding the problems pharmacists are facing in US? If anyone has any knowledge about the same, please let us know the action or decision that NABP has taken.

The news letter is not release for Nov 2008. It should be Nov 2008 news letter. I am planning to call customer service but I know they are not going to answer.

Chairperson of this task force will be Lawrence H.Mokhiber, MS, RPh, of the
New York State Board of Pharmacy. Individuals appointed to serve as members are listed below with their state boards of pharmacy:
• Thomas Bender, RPh, New Jersey
• Kevin Borcher, RP, Nebraska
• W. Benjamin Fry, RPh, FIACP, FACA, Texas
• Kevin Mitchell, RPh, Ohio • Anne Policastri, PharmD, MBA, Kentucky
• Jeanne Waggener, RPh, Texas
Susan Martin, RPh, of Colorado was appointed as alternate member, and the Executive Committee liaison for this task force will be
Cathryn J. Lew, RPh, member of the Executive Committee
and of the Oregon State Board of Pharmacy.


NY has hard rules so I am not sure what will be out come. Let's just hope that they will reduce the score for speaking.

I hope they reduce the requirement of speaking score by atleast 2 points. Lets hope for some positive outcome. By the way, does anyone know when do they usually release the newsletter for a particular month? I mean what date?

Hi folks,

I know that you guys are anxious about the results of the meeting. Please check the pharmacy forum for any update.

Please wait quietly, politely, and patiently, and also think positively. We should respect NABP since we are in the same profession. In addition, NABP is the association that American pharmacists respect so if you want to work as a pharmacist in the USA, please do the same. Our voices have been heard. We should be grateful and thankful for any actions that NABP has done for us.

Latest update will be posted later when the proper time comes in the pharmacy forum.

According to NABP's official letter dated October 21, 2008, the language requirement will be addressed by a Task Force late this fall. The results will be announced publicly via NABP <> National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.

Moreover, please check the front page of NABP web site daily for an update, especially after Thanksgiving.

Please avoid asking or bothering NABP too much or S-T-O-P stalking or any inappropriate activities. I don't say that you do but just for precaution since those activities might possibly bring a negative outcome. Overacting might be interpreted as harrassment instead since NABP is trying so hard to deal with this issue. We must admit that bureaucracy plays an important role in this process. NABP will release the news when NABP is ready. Be calm.

For those who sent the letter, you should receive an update by mail directly from NABP.
