Help Please - ETS Official Guide
Hi All
My test date is only 5 days ahead of me. I prepared for the last two weeks with the ETS official guide. The questions were easy so i was relaxes. Recently i read that ETS guide do not help getting a real feel of the test. I prepared for GMAT a month before and was in same mind set - OG is bible. It doesnt seem to be true with TOEFL ![]() Guys, please comment... Thanks Aroon |

Toefl is different than GMAT and all books are almost same. There is no bible for toefl I believe and I think it is hard to create a bible. These books are helpful to get idea about the exam and each of the sections. Just keep practicing, relax, and be confident.
Based on GMAT I am assuming you are not looking for specific score in each section. You are just looking for best total score so that's good. Give your 100% and you will be good. Good Luck! |

Hello aroon7,
I think there is no need for you to buy the Kaplan book now, when you have only 5 days left until your test. Try out these websites : -www.findscore.com for writing -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-PKlBiz-j8&feature=related for speaking For reading and listening, I think it's enough the ETS guide to have an idea about the test. I have many other books, but I think you don 't need them because you only need an overall score. That is good, and be confident, you 'll get it. As temp said, practice, relax and concentrate on your work during the test. Still, if you like to buy that book, its CD has 4 complete tests, you can record your spoken answers and then compare them to some "high level" answers provided. And it gives you an overall idea about the real test ( timing, the screen...). Good luck. You 'll be fain ! |

Got score finally
![]() Reading 29 Speaking 23 Listening 28 Writing 27 Total 107 i am happy with this score little about me: I am an Indian IT guy looking for an MBA. wrote GMAT twice and scored 530 and 580! Writing GMAT once again next month. preparing GMAT verbal helped a lot for TOEFL. mainly pacing, keeping cool throughout the test and at last sitting in a PC for 4 hrs, which is really difficult. I would advise to practice full tests and practice in 4 hrs or 5 hrs time capsules... Don't burnout yourself with heavy preparation. There are several youtube videos. You can download to your PC and listen to them day before your test. Thanks guys. Aroon |
