It is of the model test given in Barron's CD. I want to know that during the time when writing section is visible is the reading passage (marked with red arrow) visible on the left like in the model test of Barron's?

Actually I always fail to create notes for the reading passage in the provided 3 minutes though I successfully create notes for the lecture which is spoken after that. And later on the 20 minutes provided to write the 150-225 word summary is too much for me. I hardly take 10-15 minutes to compile the summary. So if the reading passage is visible on the side then I will surely be able to complete the writing section with ease.

Yes, when you start writing essay, the reading passage will be visible on the actual TOEFL test. But you should paraphrase information in the reading passage. You won't get good score if you just copy sentences.
