Toefl Test Preparation
Hi All,
I am planning to give the toefl test on 8th August 2009 from Chennai India. I would like to know from which books I should prepare to really perform well on the exam. I have the following books with me: 1) Toefl by Delta which has 6 full length test 2) Official Guide to Toefl 3) Kaplan I have around 40 days to prepare for the test. So any suggestion about how to prepare for those days will be really appreciated. ![]()

I prepared with Kaplan and it helped me a lot.
I know people who used the guide from ets and they told me that it was easier than the questions from the exam. I guess they give you this in order to get familiar with the structure of the exam. I also work with longman but found out that the level of its questions didn't compare with the ones in the real exam. I talked with some of the people who took the exam with me and studied from this book and they told me the same. Good luck!!! |

I used Barrons, Princeton Review, ETS guide and Cambridge CD.
Barrons: more difficult that the real test. ETS guide: relatively easier. Princetons: I only studied Speaking and Writing- I liked the Speaking templates and I also used their style of integrated writing. Cambridge CD: Speaking, awesome, exactly like the real TOEFL Speaking. Good Luck! |
