Can you miss on one question and get 30?
I was wondering whether you can get a 30 on a TOEFL iBT section even if you miss on one or two questions. My English skills are fairly good but I find it really hard to not to miss any questions on the Kaplan reading and listening.
Did anyone get a 30 with a few questions missed? |

I think I just found the answer on the ETS's official TOEFL iBT guide. There's a conversion chart that converts your raw score to a scaled score (the real score); and it says that raw scores of 39-42=30 (reading section) depending on the difficulty of the tests. Losing once or twice yields similar results on the listening section. Not sure about speaking and writing though.

Well,we should really try to answer all the questions correctly so that our 30 doesnt depend on test scales.
On speaking ,you receive 1 through 4 points on each speaking .Then your points are summed and divided by 6.This is the average points per speaking and depending on your average ,a scaled score is produced . |
