TOEFL in 11 hours. Help!

I'm taking TOEFL after GRE. I'm Indian and i can understand and speak English very well. I have the exam tomorrow morning. I haven't prepared anything yet, a friend of mine (with similar language skills) said as long as you can speak English fluently TOEFL shouldn't be problem. I took his word and hasn't done any prep. So my question is this, since i don't have any big dreams of scoring fantastic scores (as i understand TOEFL scores are only qualifying in nature for MS aspirants) should i do any last minute preps? Any ideas on what preps? All I've done is go through the same questions pdf on the ETS site. And that too i skimmed most cause it was kinda boring

One question For an international graduate student is there a bare minimum TOEFL score?

Just came back after TOEFL. Nice active people in this section I'll answer my question myself. No need for any preps. If you can speak english well you can do ok. Unless you're a retard.

Hi Killmurer,

I'm glad to hear you felt the test went well for you :-)

However, just be careful with comments like your last one. I tutor a lot of students who speak English quite fluently, and they've had trouble getting high scores in the speaking section of TOEFL. It goes a long way beyond just casual fluency with the language and really tests your academic English ability. Even native speakers who have tried the test comment that the speaking section in particular is a bit of a killer.

So please, I want to temper your positive feelings about your own test performance with a friendly caution that you shouldn't insinuate that a person who can't do well in the TOEFL is somehow disabled. You may have offended a lot of people who do in fact speak English quite well and have dedicated hundreds of hours (not to mention dollars!) to this test without getting the scores they need. TOEFL speaking is not a walk in the park, and it does take prep for a lot of people. That doesn't make them any lesser in any way to anyone else...

:-)
