I got 99, but need 100. Should I rescore? Corey please come in!

This is the second time i took the test. The first time I got R20+L19+S24+W27 =90. Well I have to say I didn't to put too much effort into the preparation, I never practise S and W at all! Plus I was not full rested on the test day, I had only about 3 hours sleep. So I did really bad for the whole test, especially for the speaking part. However the result shocked me, I didn't expect such a high score on speaking and writing.

For the second test, I did practise a lot for speaking and writing, and had a really good sleep before the test. unlike last test, I did much better for speaking and writing. But again the result shocked me, I got R26+L25+S23+W25=99. I expected >25 for speaking and >27for writing. Last time I got 2F and 1G for speaking, 1G and 1F for writing, this time I got 3F for speaking and 2G for writing.

So do you think I should rescore？ I plan to rescore for both, I need only 1 point more!!

I suppose it's worth a shot. I think you have a better chance in speaking than writing, though. The 25/30 in writing indicates that both essays were probably scored as 4/5. It's doubtful that new raters would look at either of your essays and view it as 5/5 (although you must have had one 4.5 the first time to earn a 27 in writing).

Even though you scored a 23/30 on speaking, meaning all 3's, your past scores in speaking and writing indicate that you are at the high end of the range, so I think you have a decent chance of one of the two scores being increased.

Which date did you take your toefl exam? i took it on June the 8th and i scored 24 on speaking. I need 26 to meet the requirement. I am thinking about a rescore as well!...Would you let me know when you have your rescore please??

As far as I know they will update your information online so keep checking your scores everyday, good luck.
