My Powerprep Score

Hi Erin

I took Powerprep test and got the following score....
Tell me what is the general difference in a person's powerprep and actual scores. Also tell me if its fine or i need to work more.........

Listening - 27
Structure Writing 13-29
Reading - 29

Total - 230 - 283

If i suppose that my Essay score would be 4/6......my score turns out to be 266. Does this mean that i would be able to score approx 266 in actual test?????? How much is the general difference?

I am taking TOEFL on 27th May 2002.

Pls. suggest Erin......

As I've said elsewhere, most of my students get the same or almost the same score on the PowerPrep as they do on the real test.

However, many students get a bit lower (they say the real TOEFL is more difficult), and some get a bit higher.

I was loooking at your scores, and they're all almost at the maximum already... not much room for improvement, huh??

Anyway, arti, in your posts, you seem pretty smart, so I'd say you should shoot for 280 or higher!!

As Erin says, you can aim higher.
