Anyone used to take TOEFL either PBT and CBT. Please suggest me
I'd like to ask anyone who used to take Toefl either PBT and CBT. Could you please compare between PBT and CBT in each parts ? For example:
1) Listening part: Difficult, length of conversation, ... - In PBT, is there long academy conversation like CBT? Or, there is only short (~4-5) conversation between two people.. 2) Grammar part: Difficult, Time, .. - I see old grammar part of PBT. I think PBT's easier than CBT but ets give less time in PBT. 'm not sure because I don't used to take PBT before. 3) Reading part: Do you think the diffulty of reading part in PBT and CBT is different... ? 4) If I will prepare myself to take TOEFL PBT, can I use TOEFL CBT material? Thank you for you opinion. |

I hope this helps
Quote:
Reading: 5 passages from academic texts. Structure: 40 questions within 25 minutes Writing: 1 independent task within 30 minutes. Overall many think pbt is easier than cbt, however some listening sections of the cbt is different like short conversation and mini lectures will not be used in pbt (it is possible the pbt mini talk is cbt short conversation). Good Luck! |
