Pbt??

Hi ,
my question is :First of all, is pbt available in any country??
If it is , do you need moreover the TSE for a college admission??
(pbt + tse ; or just pbt??)
I don't understand why do I have to take the the IBT when some people only take the PBT,which is preety easier.

I have read that cbt is not longer available(after september of this year ),does it include the PBT as well?? I thought so...
Can somebody clear this up for me ?

thank you very much

In the U.S. and Canada, ibt is the only option, in other countries it is still available but you have to check the dates. As for TSE, unless you are planning to apply to be TA or RA it is not necessary, but it is a good idea to check with the college you plan to apply.

Tino 's dreams are becoming reality.
Let me try to clear this up for everyone :-)

The iBT is the new TOEFL that ETS (Educational Testing Service, compnay that makes the TOEFL) wants everyone to take. BUT, they are having problems with their testing network, and in some places the iBT is not available or is so over-booked that you cannot get a reservation for months. Thus they are overing PBT in those areas, as a sort of "emergency" option.

The CBT is no longer available anywhere in the world: http://www.ets.org/portal/site/ets/m...22f951 90RCRD

The PBT is available in certain parts of the USA, check this link:
http://www.ets.org/bin/getprogram.cg..._selected_old=

The TSE is only necessary if you take the PBT and are looking to get a medical professional license in the USA (nurse, etc....). The TSE is not required for university admission.

Can I register myself now to take the IBT on december??

OR--Do I have to wait until one week before the test to make an early registration ??

thanks

TA is Teacher's Assistant
RA is Research Assistant

Some schools offer this position for grad students and they get paid and receive other benefits from college.
