Hi everyone
My TOEFL is this month on 23rd.
Please give me some ideas for the topics below.

Topic#76 : DO you agree or disagree with the following statement?Children should begin learning foriegn language as soo as they start school.Use specific reasons and examples to support your position.

Topic#91 : If you could ask a famous person one question, what would you ask? why? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

Topic#97 : Do you agree or disagree with the following statemnt?teachers should be paid according to how much their students learn. Give specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.

Topic#98 : If you were asked to send one thing representing your country to an international exhibition, what would you choose? why? Use specific reasons and details to explain your choice.

Topic#166 : People recognise a difference between children and adults. what events (experiences or cermonies) make a person an adult? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your answer.

Hi! I want to help you.

#76: no, I don't agree, because when children start school, they can't write. So, what can they learn? Just a few words. Is it worth? At the begining children should concentrate on learning whow to read, write and count. When thay can do it fluently in their native language, then they can start learning foreign language.

#91 and #98: depends only on you

#97: no, I don't agree, because nobody whould like to teach students with mental disorders. Besides, how to measure how much children have learned in painting lesson? If teacher's salary depends on students learning, students would have to take somekind of test or exam every month in every subject they learn! Isn't this too much?

#166: experiences related with death, loss or serious disease of beloved person (divorsement of parents included). Events, which show that the world isn't a fairy tale with happy ending. Events, that force child to take responsibility or fight for his/her live, family, hapiness.

Your thoughts are simply superb!!
For #97 and #166 your ideas are very good.Let us wait if any one can bring their ideas here.
for #98 Iam thinking about explaining about an art peice that I saw it 'Salargang museum', it is a sculpture of a king and a queen.When we see it from one side it looks as a king holding a knife(I don't know the exact word for it).When we see it from other side it shows
beautiful queen.
The sculpture shows our past culture, It shows the dressing of the king and the queen.
I don't have any other idea for this

Topic#91 : If you could ask a famous person one question, what would you ask? why? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

I believe that every famous person faces hardships before becoming famous.He becomes successful and famous only after he overcomes his hardships.I also believe that every person who is famous certainly have a good friend or companion or relative who encourage at times when he was not famous.If I can Ask a famous person one question I would ask if he could remember those who helped him at times of hardships.

Having a person who can encourage us at times of difficulties is very tough and it is very lucky to have such person.Its our duty that we should remember all those who helped at our difficult times when all outsiders turn opposite to us.Remembering those persons even after we attain suuceess and become famous is very much important.
Keeping those relations is more important that the fame.So I wouls ask him if he could retain those relationships as before.

I heard of a very good scientist who neglected her wife who was backbone to him at the time of his hardships.She helped him when he faced health problems.She halped him in his work by noting down his ideas whenever he dictated.But after he became famous, he became very proud nad started find faults with his wife and married another woman.The woman had to cry seeing him unfaithful.It might be very tough for her to bear that agony.

There was a famous actor in our country.When he was not so famous his wife helped him much in his work.After he bacame successful in his career she met with accident.At that time he helped her and consoled her sacrifised his career till she could regain her health.

So I feel its very important to remember those who helped us at difficult times and be helpful to them and humble to them even after we succed.So If I get a chance to ask any famous person a question, I would ask if he could remember those who helped him at his difficult times.

I took only 25 minutes to complete this essay.
Please advise me after reading this essay.

Sorry, but I cannot see any logical connection between sentences #1 and #2 ... You see, sentence #1 is a moral ('dont't forget those who helped you at difficult times'), which is really logical after two examples (about scientist and actor) and sentence #2 ... it just drops from the sky. Besides, this question is a little bit silly (for me). 'if he could remember ...' Of course he can! (well, if he hasn't got amnesia). Maybe you should aks (for example) how famous people pay back for those who helped them to become famous.

Generally, I like your essay, I like your sentences, but, I think, this essay is strongly off-topic. I think this essay's topic could be 'is it important to a famous people to remenber a person who helped him/her at difficult times'. You see, you talk about 'question' only in introduction and conclusion (in 2 almost identical sentences). All other parts is about 'remembering'. Maybe you could write about what you will gain from the answer or why you chose this particular question.

One more thing (I wrote you about it before!!!):
After ? ! . , leave a gap (hit the spacebar - the longest button on keybord)
Like this: Cats, dogs, and hens are domestic animals. Did you know that? Oh, yes I knew. What a clever boy! I'm so proud of you.

I was not sure what to write on this topic. But I posted it just to
improve myself and test how I can write essay on that topic.

Can I advise you something, whenever you are asking aboiut a new topic, post it in a new post. And regarding your question, one of our
collegue wrote about semiconductors. I could not find anything else that is justified. I don't remember where that is. check all the posts under essays catogory and you may find it.

If I had a chance to ask one question, I wouldn't waste it. I would ask a question, which could change all my life. I would ask Jesus Christ why God created humans, Earth and everything else. What is the reason the universe exists?

For some people famous persons are gods. For me they are just people. They are famous, they are rich, sometimes they are strange, but all of they are only humans. Perhaps, they also don't know why we live, why we die, why the sun rises. So, they can't answer me, they can't fill that emptiness inside me, which tells that me existence has no reason.

There are enough evidences that Jesus Christ really lived, so he is real person. He has a very interesting status. He is a man, but also he is the son of the God. That's why he should now why his father created humans. I hope he could explain this to me in simple sentences, which would have no hidden meanings.

This answer would change all my life. There would be no more days wasted without any reason. There would be no more cries that I am nothing. There would be no more depresions. Life simply would be wonderful. furthermore, I think, this answer could change all the world, all humans. At least, it would impact all of us, certainly all of us would be a little bit better.

I know that jesus Christ is dead almost 2000 years, but he is the son of God! So he could do a little miracle and answer this question and make me really happy.

I know this is silly ... But it was the best I could think.

I wrote it. I'm not sure too and I have never said that you did wrong that you posted your essay. We all are learning and the best way to learn - from our own mistakes.

I did:
1. Maybe you should aks (for example) how famous people pay back for those who helped them to become famous.
2. Maybe you could write about what you will gain from the answer or why you chose this particular question.

I think you could do this: write one paragraph about one particular person (tell his/her story), one par about why this question and this person is so important to you and one par about the answer.

BTW, I'm 17 and I want to go to college in US right after finishing high school next year.
