I got your point. ETS just admits it but it has an exception in favor of itself. I agree that only using a common sense is enough to judge the testing conditions.
ETS tried to use academic research to reduce the costs of creating of testing centers. The complaints were sent to the justice system. That organization has lawyers to investigate our case. Don't worry. Problems will be solved. ![]()

Facts: Be sure to pass all sections of TOEFL iBT (R21, L18, S26*,W24) before applying for FPGEE. Thousands of candidates passed FPGEE but could not achieve TOEFL requirement after several attempts. Percent passing rate on the speaking section is only 10 percent. (http://www.ets.org/Media/Tests/TOEFL...mmary_2008.pdf, page 5) The average score on the speaking section of the US candidates is 22 and candidates from English speaking countries is 23 (http://www.ets.org/Media/Tests/TOEFL...mmary_2008.pdf, p. 9-10.) Knok, C'mon man, forget about the "exception in favor of itself". Let's say you are an impartial auditor auditing ETS, what do you think when you read on page i) under "Abstract" (which is supposed to summarize the whole report) this: "More effective means need to be devised to reduce or control distraction." Am I missing something? |

Hi there,
I also want to complain my Toefl test. I yust took the test last week for admission to grad studies at a university in Canada. My test was scheduled for 11.30am. However, the test center did not scheduled the test properly. Finally, we were waiting 3 hours before we could start with the test. Due to the delay I also missed an appointment with my professor. In my mind a three hour delay is abosutely not professional since the Toefl is very important for almost all test takers. |
